Government to turn you on?
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is currently working on a new nationwide and local emergency alert system that will notify Americans in the event of a national or local "emergency". And unlike the current Emergency Alert System (EAS), that is used by all FCC-licensed radio and television stations, the new system may even include technology that would allow Big Brother to turn on your receiver.

Randy Dotinga of Wired writes that the Commission will work with the spooks at the Department of Homeland Security to develop the system.

Broadcasting & Cable, a trade publication for professional broadcasters, reports that the FCC envisions the new system to be capable of sending messages to many more electronic devices than just radios and TVs.

Plans are underway at the Commission to require broadcast stations to carry local alerts by 2007, and alerts to other devices such as computers, mobile phones, and PDAs could follow. The intent is to build a system through which messages could be received even if the device is turned off.

The technology would require special EAS chips to be added to radios, TVs, computers, and portable devices such as mobile phones.

If things go as the federal agencies plan, Americans will soon be awakened by Big Brother turning on their telescreens to notify them that Oceana has been bombed by Eurasia, war is peace, freedom is slavery, and ignorance is strength.

And if the latter were true, Americans would be the strongest people the world has ever known.

Bumper sticker
Stopped at a red light today, I saw a bumper sticker on the car ahead of me. It read, "Tree Hugging, Dirt Lover". At that moment, I knew I was in the presence of "environmentally-conscious" people.

That sticker was accompanied by numerous other rainbow-striped stickers — a true 60's hippie paradise and, evidently, a promotion of homosexual "rights" — as if homosexuals don't already have rights.

Two females, who obviously have bought into every lie of the environmental and cultural Marxists, occupied the vehicle.

As the light turned green, and as I watched this pair of earth-firsters drive away, the cogs in my mind began to turn.

How would they feel if they only knew that their cause will likely lead to the prohibition of their automobile on the road?

After all, everyone knows that cars produce carbon dioxide, a "dangerous pollutant", which allegedly contributes to a frightening rise in temperatures known as "global warming" via the "greenhouse gas effect".

Even though they purport to love trees and dirt, they must have been ignorant of the detrimental effects of their car on the environment. Had they been thinking properly, they would have considered the devastating effects of drilling for oil on the Alaskan wildlife, or the wildlife in other places such as the Middle East. Somehow, these soil-smooching leaf lovers failed to ponder those ramifications when they sat their sizable hind-ends on the seats, and fired up their oil-consuming, foreign jalopy for a nice drive down Saginaw highway.

Alas, no one is perfect.

I also wondered if they ever enjoyed rides out in the country to spend titillating moments with their goddess, "mother earth". Undoubtedly, the roads they drive on to get to their beloved trees will be eliminated under the Wildlands Project, but that fact is lost to their proud, conservationist minds.

Eliminating the roads is necessary, as the presence of humans among the many critters of the forest would serve no positive purpose. Humans — even self-proclaimed "environmentally-friendly" ones — are evil and disturb the natural evolution of the earth's fragile eco-system. Therefore, roads, and the cars used to travel them, are unsustainable no-nos.

There are other matters that cause me to question the extent of dedication these bleeding-heart Marxists have toward their beloved environmental movement.

Could the limitations on water use that will be placed upon them in the future be enough to shake their faith? I wondered how they would feel about trying to bathe and clean their house without water, for instance.

I wondered about their diets. They certainly appeared to be very well-fed. I'd bet the vast majority of what they eat consists of things that are considered "non-sustainable" by the same people whose environmental agendas they so blindly and ignorantly support.

Perhaps these greenies are property owners. Does it matter to them that as the environmental agenda moves forward, private property will be a relic of the past?

This summer in Michigan has been extraordinarily cool. But when their global warming demon really takes his grip, they'll undoubtedly want to hit the "AC" button on their dashboard.

However, that too, is not allowed under the blueprint for sustainable development — for which all environmental organizations push.

The point is that too many people get behind causes about which they really know very little. And they'll support these causes ignorantly, until the negative ramifications begin to have a profound impact upon their way of life. Too often then, it's too late.

And Agenda 21, the United Nations environmental wish list, will ultimately change every Americans' way of life completely. It will change where you live, how you live, what you eat, and how much you eat. Indeed, it is already changing many of these things.

I couldn't help thinking how pathetic the whole situation is, that these people promote ideas that will someday be used to enslave the entire population — including themselves!

There's an old saying that goes something like this: "Be careful what you ask for, because you just might get it."

Lovers of the environment beware! Be careful what cause you get behind, or your cause may someday get you from behind.

World Democracy?
From WorldCitizen.org:
"The World Citizen Foundation is a nonprofit nonpartisan think-tank dedicated to the design of solutions to international problems based on the fundamental principles of equal human dignity, liberty, democracy and constitutionally protected basic rights of all."

It sounds really good, except what constitution are they talking about? Certainly not the U.S. constitution!

Also, they speak using terms such as "our global neighborhood". This is a United Nations phrase.

Their self-proclaimed goal is to "peacefully create a World Democracy in our lifetime".

What's a democracy? It's certainly NOT our representative / constitutional form of government. The term "democracy" is thrown around today in order to confuse. It is intended that the hearer will think the message is "government by the people, for the people".

However, under a "democratic" form of government, "the people" own everything. In other words, there are NO private property rights because all of the property belongs to "the people". If you do not use your land for the good of "the people", and up to the standards of "the people", then you will lose your land use rights.

So we see that "democracy" is NOT the American form of government. When our leaders say on TV that they are spreading "democracy" around the world, you must understand that the form of government they are promoting is similar to that of the People's Republic of China, where "land use" is at the behest of the state.

Democracy, then is really socialism.

If you don't believe me, then perhaps you'll take the word of an authority on the matter — one Mikhail Gorbachev:

"It's my conviction that the human race has entered a stage where we are all dependent on each other. No other country or nation should be regarded in total separation from another, let alone pitted against another. That's what our communist vocabulary calls internationalism and it means promoting universal human values." —Mikhail Gorbachev, Perestroika: New Thinking for Our Country and the World, 1988

"...I would like to be clearly understood...we, the Soviet people, are for socialism.... We want more socialism and, therefore, more democracy." —Mikhail Gorbachev, Perestroika: New Thinking for Our Country and the World, 1988

"We will proceed toward better socialism rather than away from it. We are saying this honestly, without trying to fool our own people or the world. Any hopes that we will begin to build a different, non-socialist society and go over to the other camp are unrealistic and futile. Those in the West who expect us to give up socialism will be disappointed." —Mikhail Gorbachev, in "Perestroika: New Thinking for Our Country and the World," 1988

"I am a Communist, a convinced Communist! For some that may be a fantasy. But to me it is my main goal." —Mikhail Gorbachev, New York Times, 1989

"Those who hope that we shall move away from the socialist path will be greatly disappointed. Every part of our program of perestroika...is fully based on the principle of more socialism and more democracy." —Mikhail Gorbachev, Perestroika: New Thinking for Our Country and the World, 1988

"The Soviet transition to a new political structure shows that the Soviet strategists are thinking, planning and acting in broad terms, way beyond the imagination of Western politicians. For this reason Western politicians cannot grasp the fact that the Soviet intention is to win by 'democratic' means. Through transition to a new system, the Soviets are revitalising their own people and institutions, and they are succeeding. Contrary to Western belief, they are holding their ranks together." —Anatoliy Golitsyn, The Perestroika Deception, 1990

Still not enough? Try this one:

"Democracy: A goverment of the masses. Authority derived through mass meeting or any other form of 'direct' expression. Results in mobocracy. Attitude toward property is communistic -- negating property rights. Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate, ... without restraint or regard to consequences. Results in demagogism, license, agitation, discontent, anarchy." --Army Training Manual Concerning Citizenship, 1928

Democracy equals socialism. Socialism is the road to communism. Communism in the Soviet Union was NOT disbanded; the names have changed to lure the west to sleep to the threat of communism. In reality, the American people have no clue that they are currently living in a communist country.

As socialist Norman Thomas, one of the founders of the American Civil Liberties Union stated:
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."

Obviously, their plans have been executed very well. Not only do the American people not know how it happened, most don't even care that it happened.

NJ govenor resigns; No tears shed here!
this is an audio post - click to play, wait for download

Reaction to New Jersey governor James McGreevey announcement that he is resigning.

I've often said New Jersey is one state in which you couldn't pay me to live.

New Jersey governor James McGreevey resigned, following news of an affair that he had on his wife with another man. That's right; he's a homosexual.

McGreevey, you may recall, was the governor who unveiled a map of the state wherein 2/3 of the state was colored in red — the areas wherein people wouldn't be allowed to live.

McGreevey has been very proactive in implementing Sustainable Development in that state.

As such, I say good riddance to bad rubbish.

More school, less parental influence
this is an audio post - click to play, wait for download

Reaction to a report on National Public Radio's All Things Considered about the lengthening of the school year in North Carolina.

The debate over lengthening the school year for students reminds me of the Community Schools initiative that I encountered a few years ago.

The idea of Community Schools, is that the public school system can be transformed, using tax dollars of course, into a hub of community activity. It would be around this hub that educational activities would be built to support the learning process. This would give them the chance to learn more, the logic goes, since they are in school longer.

Of course, the convenient aspect for the Marxists is that the plan would also serve to minimize parental influence, while giving the state greater influence into the children's lives and minds at the age when they're most impressionable.

As Benjamin Kidd, an English sociologist who died in 1916, wrote:
"Oh you blind leaders who seek to convert the world by labored disputations. Step out of the way or the world must fling you aside. Give us the young! Give us the young, and we will create a new mind and a new earth in a single generation."

They've been at it for a while; they'll continue until parents put a stop to it.

CIA choice is part of the fraternity
Well, well, well.

It appears that the Order of the Skull and Bones is taking a much higher profile these days.

Of course, it's old news that President George W. Bush and his supposed "rival" in the presidential elections, John Kerry, are both bonesmen.

Now, assuming he is confirmed, we'll have a bonesman for CIA director as well.

Porter Goss, who attended Yale, was one of 15 to be hand-picked by the satanic fraternity.

SweetLiberty.org address used by virus
These viruses are getting more sophisticated. We all have to be on guard at all times to avoid infecting our systems. One moment of not thinking, and WHAM!

An e-mail arrived tonight, purportedly from Jackie Patru. The subject line was left blank. There was only one word in the body of the message. Very simply, the word "price" appeared. There was an attachment — a ZIP file called, "price.zip".

When unzipped, there appeared two files. An executable (price.exe) and a hypertext markup language file (price.html).

I decided, before executing any of these, I had better do some research. Jackie rarely sends me anything that she doesn't explain.

I entered "price.exe" as a search term into Google, and discovered that, indeed, my suspicions were well-founded. The executable file is a virus. If clicked, it will infect your system. The html file, which accompanies it, contains JavaScript code which will execute the price.exe file, thus infecting your system that way.

The bottom line is, this e-mail didn't really come from Jackie Patru. A check of the e-mail's headers proves this, as her ISP does not appear there.

Her Sweet Liberty e-mail address was spoofed by a robot, which was sent to look for e-mail addresses. Obviously, this bot picked up Jackie's e-mail address, from somewhere within the Sweet Liberty site, and used it to send mail to me.

If you get an e-mail address with a suspicious attachment, from any address ending in "sweetliberty.org" (or any other domain, for that matter), I strongly encourage you to do your research first, prior to executing anything.

Even if it appears that it was sent from somebody you trust — in this case, Jackie Patru — you need to check it out prior to executing it. Just because it says "From: Darren Weeks" or "From: Jackie Patru" and has the correct e-mail address there, doesn't mean that Darren Weeks or Jackie Patru actually was the one who sent it.

You might actually try asking the person whose address appears as the sender, if they really intended to send you the attachment. Even though Jackie or I would never knowingly send an infected attachment, anyone can use any name and e-mail address in the "sender" column and use it as a spoof.

In other words, when playing in cyberspace, BE CAREFUL! Think before you click! Otherwise, you could really pay the "price".

Error on the log
In television, we use something called a program log. It's purpose is to tell us what we are to put on the air. It's very important to follow the log. As long as you do, you can't get into trouble.

The department which produces the log is called the "traffic department".

A traffic manager once told me years ago, "The log is your bible. Always follow the log. The log is never wrong."

Well, she lied. The log was often wrong. And it was wrong tonight.

Luckily, I noticed it a couple of hours early. There was a paid program logged for 2:33 AM that had a wrong number. It was only off by one digit, but I wanted to be certain that another tape didn't exist with that number.

I had a program sheet which had the correct number on it, but that isn't the official log. The program sheet is an unofficial paper that is intended to aid us in setting up our programs. It is prepared by the lady, Theresa, who handles the program tapes for us. But the sheet isn't official. The program log is.

Not wanting to get burned by airing the wrong show, I picked up my cell phone and went down the list of numbers I had programmed into its memory. I came to "Teresa" and hit "send".

She answered and I proceeded to explain to her that the log called for the paid program that I was supposed to run at 2:33 AM was Carlton Sheets #297-0555, but her program sheet stated it should be #297-0565.

She acted a little confused, so I repeated myself.

After repeating the information the second time, I began to wonder why it was that she wasn't understanding me. I was certain that I was explaining it as clear as I could. Furthermore, it wasn't a particularly difficult concept to grasp. There was a descrepancy on the log. I needed to make sure there wasn't a tape with the actual number on the log that I should air.

I explained, "Your sheet calls for — "

She interrupted, "Are they saying that I called them?"

"No," I said, beginning to feel exasperated. "Your sheet called for..."

She continued to protest. It was then that I recognized her voice. I was talking to my cousin Teresa!

In my haste to put to bed the question about the log, I had scrolled down the list of numbers in my phone, and called the first Teresa to which I came. I had forgotten that my cousin's number was there, too.

Embarassed beyond belief at this point, I stopped her and told her that I had called the wrong Teresa.

She began to laugh. She said, "I really thought you'd lost your mind! I thought, Darren has gone to the other side!"

We talked for a few minutes, and then ended the call since the battery was going dead in her phone.

I didn't say a word about my blunder when I called the real programming Theresa, who promptly confirmed her program sheet referenced the correct show; the log was wrong.

Sometimes when we begin to take ourselves and life a little too seriously, something happens to force us to laugh. Tonight, I was the butt of the joke.

Voters in FloriDUH
this is an audio post - click to play, wait for download

My reaction to this National Public Radio piece on election chatter at a barbecue house in Florida.

As I listened to the voters in the above NPR feature, it occurred to me that these are classic victims of the Hegelian Dialectic. Everything they said was within the boundries of what the ruling elite want them to think. No one ever wanders outside the framework of "knowledge" that has been spoon-fed to them by the mainstream (controlled) media.

Why do people believe everything they are told without question? Why don't people ask questions?
"With more than five million people voting, the Florida recount in the 2000 election came down to 500 votes."

How do we know this is true? Because the media told us so? Who counted the votes? Who controlled the numbers? What was the real function of the Voters News Service (VNS)? Was it to help count the votes, or was it to control the numbers and, subsequently the outcome? Why did the director of VNS become very nervous when Victoria Collier asked him on the phone for more information about his organization?

Do the elections matter anyway? Both Al Gore and George W. Bush are both candidates who would advance the United Nations diabolical agenda in the United States. Both are closet communists dedicated to the absolute destruction of the country.

Don't believe that? Then you need to do your research. There is plenty of evidence that supports that claim.

The 2000 election circus — a created crisis, in my thinking — was orchestrated to create the "problem" that would illustrate the "need" for a new computerized voting system to be adopted nationwide.

This is the Hegelian Dialectic in operation. The PROBLEM > REACTION > PRE-DETERMINED SOLUTION. Create a problem (thesis), fashion the reaction (antithesis), then present the agenda that you wanted to get instituted as the solution (synthesis, and the basis for a new thesis) to the problem you created.

Does it work?

Listen to the people in the NPR clip and you tell me if it works.
