Rick Stroup and Jane Shaw write:
When Eastern Europe began to open up in the late 1980s, one of the great shocks was the severity of its environmental problems. Journalists reported on skies full of smoke from lignite and soft coal, children kept inside for much of the winter because of unsafe air, and horses that had to be moved away from the worst areas after a few years or they would die. Many of the environmental ills reflected an abysmally low level of technology. Old, polluting factories of the kinds that are dim memories in the United States were the mainstay of socialist industry. Smelly, sluggish automobiles polluted the roads. Energy waste was tremendous. Their own statistics showed that socialist economies were using more than three times as much steel and nearly three times as much energy per unit of output than market economies. One cannot look about in Warsaw or Moscow, Budapest or Zagreb, Krakow or Sarajevo, wrote economist W. W. Rostow in 1991, without knowing that this part of the world is caught up in a technological time warp. Not everyone realized it at the time, but the state of the environment was directly connected to the absence of property rights in the Soviet system. The authorities had refused to allow most resources to be privately owned. Most market exchanges were criminal acts, and entrepreneurship of most kinds was declared to be criminal behavior. Production was centrally planned, with land and other resources owned by the state, not individuals. A couple of interesting items from The Westerner:
One of Calvin DeWitt's favorite Bible verses is Revelation 11:18: "... The time has come for judging the dead... and for destroying those who destroy the Earth." DeWitt, a professor of environmental studies at the University of Wisconsin, is a leader in a growing evangelical Christian movement to protect the environment in the name of God... (more...)

I wonder how socialist new-worlders are able to get out of bed each day. Those who buy into the notions of the globalist bell-ringers. I'm talking about the alarmists in the media, environmental groups, and at the United Nations. If we are to believe everything these alarmists have to say, then the world is going to end soon. In fact, it should have already ended by now. I read an article recently on the air about a group of 130 U.S. mayors that are now attempting to implement the Kyoto treaty without congressional ratification. Seattle mayor Greg Nickels, the ringleader in the global warming circus freak show of mayors, was quoted by CNN: "We've seen what the potential effect (of Global Warming) might have been in Florida, with the hurricanes, and in California, with the record rainfall that usually belongs to us. Those are warning signs. They may or may not be related to global climate change, but they are a sign of what might happen." Am I the only one who sees the inconsistency in the above statement? This idiot is basing his agenda upon a premise that he admits might not be happening! On the one hand he's making a connection between the recent weather anomalies and global warming. "Those are warning signs", he dogmatically says. Then, he turns around and admits that he doesn't know that there's a connection. Notice the words "potential effect", and "may or may not be related". Clearly, this moronic mayor has no clue. But that doesn't stop him from yelling that the sky is falling! He doesn't hesitate to sound the alarm. He'll do what he can to organize his fellow socialist Chicken Little mayors to place Gestapo-like restrictions upon what's left of American industry in their cities. There is no scientific proof that man is causing global warming. Period. There are cycles that the earth goes through of heating and cooling, and it occurs naturally. There is nothing that human beings can do about global warming, because it isn't caused by human beings. Purdue University has recently helped to demonstrate the resiliantcy of the earth. In a news release headlined, "Atmosphere May Cleanse Itself Better than Previously Thought". Quoting: "A research team from Purdue University and the University of California, San Diego has found that the Earth's atmosphere may be more effective at cleansing itself of smog and other damaging hydrocarbons than was once thought.Do you think the crisis-loving mayors, working to implement Kyoto, will tell you this good news? Do you think you'll find any of it in any statement from the United Nations or the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency? The reality that the earth is able to cope with human activity doesn't fit the template of the global schemers. They need crisis, to properly condition the masses that something must be done to curtail human activity. You cannot be allowed to live your life in comfort, luxury, and fullness. It's not sustainable. Only your "basic" needs must be met. Rest assurred, they'll take on the task of deciding for you what are those basic needs. You'll have to be limited in the electricity that you use, the clothing you wear, the house you live in, the food you eat, the land you live on, the water you bathe in, the fuel you consume everything! When they say "basic needs", they mean "BASIC" needs. You people reading this must understand one thing: The globalist Marxists view you as nothing but a pimple on the earth's butt. Therefore, you have to be smashed hard and tight, until you wince with the pain of not being able to do anything you want or love. They'll squeeze you until there is nothing left. And the agenda is being built on a premise, the foundation of which is as faulty as a ten-story sand castle. Now, we see from the BBC today: "If we continue with current rates of species extinction, we will have no chance of rolling back poverty and the lives of all humans will be diminished." THE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING! First of all, how do we even know they're telling the truth about species being extinct. They lied about the Spotted Owl. They said that the Spotted Owl was so fragile that insane measures had to be taken to protect. They destroyed countless people's lives over the stupid Spotted Owl, by controlling the land of private individuals, wherever the infamous hooter might be found. The statement was that the noise that people make could interfere with the breeding habits of the feathery beast. They said human activity would stop the "fragile" bird's ability to reproduce. They said it right up until the time the Spotted Owl's family was discovered living in a Nevada Kmart sign. Secondly, with regard to the above statement about eradicating poverty, you have to understand that what the global Marxists mean by "eradicating poverty", is redistributing wealth. They want to take everything from the industrialized developed countries, and distribute it among the impoverished "developing" countries. They call it "equality" and "social justice". It's nothing but world-wide socialism, under the banner of the United Nations. If you think they are doing such a bang-up job of eliminating poverty, then ask yourself the question: As an American, am I better off today, than I was before 1992, when Agenda 21 was revealed by the United Nations? Am I better off today than I was in 1993 when the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was signed by our traitorous U.S. president Bill Clinton? The socialist globalists are doing such as great job "eliminating poverty", they want to expand their efforts to include the impoverished central American countries. The Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) is being fast-tracked through congress right now. Whose poverty do they want to eliminate? It certainly isn't ours. To hear the global enviro-alarmists speak, you'd think nothing good ever happens. Everything is a crisis, because there is not greater way of manipulating minds into accepting draconian ideas they wouldn't ordinarily accept. Unless you people learn to wake up to their manipulations, and get angry enough to raise hell about what's being done to us, they'll continue their mind-controlled manipulation of the population. They'll keep sending your children overseas to die in needless wars and telling you its for "freedom". They'll continue perpetrating acts of terrorism upon you, so they can use your children as cannon fodder. And you'll feel good that your children died a hero's death, serving "their country". You'll blame their terrorist acts on the Arabs, because you believe everything you're told by their controlled media. They'll continue injecting mercury into your family's bloodstream and telling you it's so you won't get sick. They'll keep putting poisonous fluoride into your drinking water, and you won't say a word in protest because you've been told that it's good for your teeth. They'll continue stealing more and more of your land, until you have no place to live other than a cramped building in a congested city, where every aspect of your life will be managed. They'll pollute the environment, so they can blame it on your development. To be sure, there are things to be alarmed about, in this day. But it isn't humanity's impact on the earth. Rather, it's the inhuman assault on the lives and liberties of the people of the world especially in the U.S.A. It isn't the sky that's falling. It's your country.

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has done so much toward driving the people of the U.S.A. into absolute bankruptcy, that the globalists want to expand it. The Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) is an effort by the globalists to push the U.S.A. further into a third world economy. Wealth would be transferred from our country, along with our jobs, into the Central American countries of Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. In his press conference of April 28th, 2005, President George W. Bush declared, "We need to continue to open up markets for U.S. products. As you know, there will be a vote for the Central American Free Trade Agreement here, hopefully soon. I'm a strong believer that that's in the interest of American job creators and workers, that we open up those markets."What markets? And for whom will the jobs be created? According to the CIA world factbook, "Guatemala is the largest and most populous of the Central American countries with a GDP per capita roughly one-half that of Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. ... The distribution of income remains highly unequal, with perhaps 75% of the population below the poverty line."The vast majority of the people in the country of Guatemala are poor. These are the people that are going to be purchasing American products? These are the people that are going to rescue us from the overpowerment of the Asian economic powerhouse? Where is the market that George W. Bush speaks of opening? It certainly isn't in Guatemala! Honduras is another country that would benefit from partnership with the U.S. under the Central American Free Trade Agreement. Over half of its population lives in poverty as well. Will the people there be able to purchase U.S. made products? Again quoting from the CIA's own website: Honduras, one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere with an extraordinarily unequal distribution of income and massive unemployment, is banking on expanded trade under the U.S.-Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and on debt relief under the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) initiative. The country has met most of its macroeconomic targets, and began a three-year IMF Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility (PGRF) program in February 2004. Growth remains dependent on the economy of the US, its largest trading partner, on commodity prices, particularly coffee, and on reduction of the high crime rate.CAFTA is designed to aid the developing nations by raising them up out of poverty. It is the implementation of Chapter 3 in the United Nations' blueprint for sustainable development, called Agenda 21. Under CAFTA, U.S. workers would suffer further from job losses, and wage reductions. The standard of living in the United States will further be lowered, as U.S. Americans struggle to work enough hours in the day to simply stay afloat. The poor Central American countries will be lifted from poverty somewhat, but at the expense of hard-working middle class Americans. Quoting, again, from the CIA's website, they say about Nicaragua, another CAFTA would-be trading partner: Nicaragua, one of the hemisphere's poorest countries, faces low per capita income, massive unemployment, and huge external debt. Distribution of income is one of the most unequal on the globe. While the country has made progress toward macroeconomic stability over the past few years, GDP annual growth has been far too low to meet the country's needs. As a result of successful performance under its International Monetary Fund policy program and other efforts, Nicaragua qualified in early 2004 for some $4 billion in foreign debt reduction under the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) initiative. Even after this reduction, however, the government continues to bear a significant foreign and domestic debt burden. If ratified, the US-Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) will provide an opportunity for Nicaragua to attract investment, create jobs, and deepen economic development.I ask again, where is the market for U.S. goods of which Mr. Bush speaks, when urging swift ratification of CAFTA as the solution to the created-crisis of the post-WTO, post-NAFTA American economy? Impoverished people are unable to buy goods when they lack the means to purchase. Like NAFTA, the CAFTA is an unfair agreement, biased in favor of the so-called developing nations. William Norman Grigg writes, Chief among the objections offered by NASDA and many other CAFTA critics is the fact that the supposed "free trade" agreement would impose what amounts to unilateral trade disarmament on U.S. agricultural producers. The six foreign nations included in the pact would be granted immediate access to U.S. food markets. However, U.S. producers would have to wait for years, or even decades, in order to be granted reciprocal access.Yet, President Bush continues to support the measure, demonstrating once again, his socialist, globalist agenda. "I know it's important geopolitically to say to those Central American countries, you've got a friend in America. We said we'd have an agreement with you, and it's important to ratify it. It'll help strengthen the neighborhood."What neighborhood? The global neighborhood? The way Mr. Bush talks, you'd think he'd been elected president of the American continent. If Congress places his stamp of approval upon CAFTA, he very well might have. Here's my summary of the CIA's World Factbook statement: The following CIA World Factbook links reveal the financial situation in the CAFTA trade countries:
Given the impoverished state of most of these counties, who is the CAFTA designed to help? It sure doesn't look as if it is the U.S.A. By Darren Weeks
I have no problem with women in leadership roles, as long as they have the sovereignty of our country, and individual liberty, as their priority. Hillary Clinton, like her traitorous husband, does not. Matt Drudge reports that Geena Davis, a Democrat political activist will play the role of the first female president of the United States in a new ABC series called 'Commander-In-Chief'. According to Drudge, it will be a "drama following the challenges facing the first female President of the United States". The move by ABC is guaranteed to raise speculation that the network is fertilizing the minds of the public to accept the idea of a female president, possibly paving the way for a Hillary run in 2008. Under the United Nations system, the role of women in decision-making positions is intended to increase. Chapter 24 of Agenda 21 states: The following objectives are proposed for national Governments... To increase the proportion of women decision makers, planners, technical advisers, managers and extension workers in environment and development fields; To consider developing and issuing by the year 2000 a strategy of changes necessary to eliminate constitutional, legal, administrative, cultural, behavioural, social and economic obstacles to women's full participation in sustainable development and in public life...Key positions are to be filled by women, under the U.N. system. The idea is not so much to promote women, but rip apart their traditional role in the family. I want to make it clear that I am not in favor of the oppression of women. There have been times in the past that opportunities have not existed for women to work in society. That has led to women being trapped in abusive relationships, etc. Additionally, there are places on earth today where women have absolutely no societal rights. That is also a problem, but not one that is the responsibility of the U.S. government to solve. If a woman chooses to pursue a career, opportunities should exist for her to do so. She should be compensated fairly, based upon her value to the company, the value of her work, etc. Gender should have nothing to do with it. That being said, I do believe there are a few jobs that are not appropriate for women. For instance, women should not have any role in military combat operations. The most stabilizing institution in America is the family. The most important role in ensuring proper management of the family is the traditional housewife and mother. The mother of the next generation provides the necessary moral guidance needed to ensure that society doesn't degrade into chaos. It has been said that the hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world. In many respects, this is true. Already we've seen the negative repercussions of the absence of women in their traditional role as full-time mother. As more women have been forced from the home due to oppressive government taxation, monetary inflation, and the rising cost of living, we have witnessed more unwed pregnancies, more drug use among youth, more problems in the schools. The youth of America are largely growing into undisciplined monsters who cannot be controlled by their teachers. Therefore, drugging has taken the place of proper discipline, in many instances. Societal chaos ensues where proper parenting is void. When mothers aren't allowed to be full-time mothers, we all pay. Chaos is the tool by which the plan for world dominion is being implemented. Whenever social chaos abounds, socialist fixes aren't far behind. Agenda 21 goes on to outline the public conditioning that must take place to facilitate the transformation toward women in key positions. And bear in mind, the more women we have in key leadership roles, the less women we'll have in traditional roles. This will lead to moral degradation and social upheaval exactly what is needed to serve as the pretense for more change: To assess, review, revise and implement, where appropriate, curricula and other educational material, with a view to promoting the dissemination to both men and women of gender-relevant knowledge and valuation of women's roles through formal and non-formal education, as well as through training institutions, in collaboration with non-governmental organizations." Emphasis mine.In other words, condition the masses through the use of educational institutions, as well as by "non-formal" means. Can television shows like ABC's Commander-In-Chief be used as a "non-formal" education toward promoting the role of women in sustainable leadership positions? Indeed, television shows are already being used for such purposes. And in order for the implementation process of Agenda 21 to be completed, women must be kept out of the home, away from the children, for as many hours as possible. Then, the state, through its education apparatus, can properly indoctrinate the youth of America. No values, no moral absolutes, no liberties.
